With over 30 years of experience spanning restaurants, private country clubs and hotels, Nato brings knowledge and insight to the portfolios of key hospitality clients. His experience includes assessing and reorganizing food, beverage and banquet operations. Nato’s experience also includes concept development and oversight of major F&B renovations.
Nato’s tenure in food and beverage operations started early in life, as the middle Son in an Italian family he spent many hours in the family kitchen. Nato’s father was the sole proprietor of a Salumeria (an Italian Deli) in Brooklyn, NY, this is where Nato learned the importance of customer service and how important it is to the success of a food and beverage operation.
Nato realized early in life his passion for food and beverage operations and his career escalated quickly from the family owned Salumeria, over the next 15 years his experience included multiple high-end country clubs to include, the Richmond Country Club, an exclusive private club in NYC where he served as Director of Food & Beverage and as the General Manager of Gage & Tollner, a landmark restaurant in Brooklyn, NY, in the epicenter of the NYC’s law scene, Nato honed his skills in fine dinning, high-end service and cutting edge F&B trends.
In 2009 he began consulting for The JBG Companies’ hotel portfolio, creating efficiencies, revamping F&B offerings, and implementing programs to enhance revenue. In 2012, he joined Crescent Hotels & Resorts, a top 5, third-party management company, as the first Corporate Director of Food & Beverage and eventually held the position of VP of Food & Beverage. During his tenure with Crescent Hotels & Resorts he was very instrumental in creating the infrastructure for the corporate F&B programs they have today. Nato’s relationship with globally recognized brands such as Hyatt, Starwood, Marriott, Hilton, Kimpton, IHG, as well as independent, boutique hotels, round out an exemplary resume of F&B talent and skills.
As a consultant, Nato has always been passionate about providing industry insight, experience, and knowledge to clients in order to help them achieve F&B projections in revenue and profitability. So in the next stage of his career Nato is excited to return to the role of F&B Consultant.
Nato is a father of two, and currently resides in Loudon County, Virginia with his wife and son. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, cycling, golfing, traveling, and building on his reputation as a cigar and wine aficionado.
